More about Khan River Lodge

There are some things we all dream of doing at least once in our lifetime, and an African hunting safari is one of them, where you will experience one of the greatest adventures on earth. Africa, land of sunlight and splendour, stamps her imprint on your soul like nowhere else on earth, where every conceivable animal roams, including a stunning collection of trophy animals like Kudu, Zebra, Blue Wildebeest, Waterbuck, Impala, Blesbok, Red Hartesbeest, and Warthog, where hunter and animal compare their skills and expertise. Namibia, in particular, conjures up powerful images of the African continent. An African hunting safari is exciting and adrenaline rushing, but having experienced hunters with you, ensures total safety at all times.

Hunting at Khan River Lodge

By hunting with Khan River, you will experience how an African hunting safari will enrich your life. The beauty of this dark continent lies in its landscape and the diversity of its fauna and flora and its these elements that combine to give you a distinctive glimpse into this unique continent. Of course the pace is determined by you, and there is all the relaxation time you could ever want lying at the pool or taking a guided tour of the local bush walks. At the end of the day, enjoy a drink at the bar as you take in the grandeur of the African sunset and after dark, sitting around a crackling fire, you can listen as the bush comes alive around you or swap the day's adventures with like-minded people.

But for the hunter, every day is as action-packed as you could ever want:

Plains game hunting.
Trophy hunting.
Bird watching
Farm drives
Khan River game lodge offers a range of activities such as game drives, bird watching, game viewing, guided walks in the bushveld and target shooting. Activities are not included in our daily rates. You will have the opportunity to view game species such as Kudu, Oryx, Steenbuck, Jackal, Warthog, Blesbuck, Blue and Black Wildebeest, Springbuck, and on occasion Leopard and Cheetah.

Our History

Namibia, previously known as South West Africa, was Africa's last colony to gain independence in March 1990, and offers some of Africa's most breathtaking and contrasting sceneries. Due to its economic and political stability, Namibia is destined to become one of the most sought after tourist destinations on the African continent.

For the last 15 Years we have been building up game stock on our 6 000 ha game farm. Let Khan River Lodge offer you an unforgettable African experience in central Namibia.

Khan River was originally a cattle farm but was converted to a game farm and tourist destination 15 years ago. leopardAll internal fences were removed allowing the game to roam freely. Due to the large game populations and proper game management methods Khan River is now and will remain to be in a position to offer our hunters only the top quality trophies in the area.

Our goal is to offer our guests an unforgetable, down-to-earth Namibian experience with a personal touch.

This African hunting lodge offers warm hospitality in true Namibian style and is an ideal overnight stop for the intrepid explorer. We offer a variety of activities for those who prefer to stay longer such as game drives, bird watching, game viewing, target shooting, guided walks through the bushveld and unforgettable Namibian hunting safaris.
